Food for Thought: Good
Today I wanted to share something I've been "chewing" on these past few days:
"Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day" -unknown
This quote has really meant a lot to me. It is SO easy to point out the bad, or what is wrong with each day. Especially when it is one of those days. One of those days where everything seems to be going wrong. You find yourself in this mindset where one bad thought leads to another.. leads to another and suddenly you are on a downward spiral thinking about every bad thought you've ever had in the past years. By the end of it you are left with only bad thoughts, and it feels like nothing is going right in your life. And while it is SO easy to downward spiral into negativity and focus on what is bad... why can't we do the same for what is GOOD?
I think the extra effort it takes to remember the good is worth it.
Even when it feels like there is nothing good in your day, there is. Even if you can't find ten good things. You can find one. One good thing.
I encourage you to find and name your one good thing today.
